Identification

According to the Verified Complaint, RemArms, LLC is, upon information and belief, a Delaware limited liability company doing business in Georgia and “operating the firearms manufacturing facility at 1475 South Davis Road, LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia 30241.” (Verified Complaint ¶14.) The company was formed after Roundhill Group LLC’s 2020 acquisition of the Remington firearms business and manufactures firearms under license to the Remington trademark.

The Georgia Move

On November 8, 2021, RemArms and the Office of the Governor of Georgia announced the company’s relocation to LaGrange with a stated commitment of approximately 856 jobs over five years and a global headquarters in Troup County (Exhibits A & B to the Verified Complaint). Production at the historic Ilion, New York plant subsequently ended, closing a 200-year chapter of manufacturing in the Mohawk Valley.

Litigation of Record

In the Troup County Verified Complaint, RemArms is named in Counts I, II, V, VI, VII, and the all-defendant counts including Georgia RICO. The pleading alleges, among other things, unpaid obligations to the plaintiffs for facility services and to a broader creditor group. (¶¶5, 8, 32–33.)

The public record also reflects creditor actions naming RemArms, including Accuwright Mechanical v. RemArms, et al.; AAR of NC v. RemArms, et al. (No. 26-CV-0089); Panel Systems Unlimited v. RemArms, et al.; and Pemmco Manufacturing v. RemArms, which the Verified Complaint describes as tried to judgment for the plaintiff and affirmed on appeal. (¶¶33–34, 75I.) Historical Context
